Livestreaming Tracker October 2025 Highlights: Shooter Games Shoot to Prominence
Shooter titles dominated China’s livestreaming landscape in October 2025, standing out as some of the month’s most-watched content. Niko Partners China Games & Livestreaming Tracker showed that the genre continues to command a strong interest among viewers. Read our quick take on the three standout titles from this month’s top 12 shooter games, based on the Niko Index, our proprietary metric for estimating total viewership across games, streamers, and categories.
Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 6 debuted in October, making waves in China. Although not officially launched in the market, it is available through the international version of Steam. Battlefield 6 and the Battlefield garnered 16.6 million viewers across Huya and Bilibili in October.
Although this is impressive, the launch couldn’t disrupt the dominance of Level Infinite’s (Tencent) Delta Force: Hawk Ops. The Chinese-developed free-to-play tactical shooter shares many similarities with the Battlefield series and is seeing very strong engagement in the domestic market.
Meanwhile, mainland Chinese indie studio Team Soda’s Escape from Duckov, also launched in October and ranked as the #12 most viewed title in the shooter genre, amassing a total of 4.7 million viewers across Douyu and Bilibili in October. The indie title has become one of the most successful local PC game launches of 2025, surpassing 2 million copies sold within two weeks of release.
